**POSITION SUMMARY**
**Role Summary**
The Civil Finishing Supervisor will oversee and execute finishing works including **painting, polishing, PU finishing, putty, grouting, tile finishing, surface preparation, and minor civil finishing tasks** . The role demands strong quality control, coordination with contractors, and ensuring timely completion of finishing activities as per drawings and specifications.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Site Execution & Supervision**
+ Plan, supervise, and ensure execution of **painting, polishing, PU polish, veneer finishing, grouting, tiling finishing, and other civil finishing works** .
+ Monitor daily finishing activities and ensure adherence to **BOQ, specifications, and method statements** .
+ Ensure proper surface preparation, material mixing ratios, coats application, curing, and finishing quality.
+ Inspect and approve workmanship for painting, polishing, and grouting at each stage before moving to the next.
**2. Quality Assurance & Control**
+ Conduct regular quality checks to ensure finishing works meet **architectural and client standards** .
+ Ensure the use of approved materials, shade cards, and application methods.
+ Identify defects such as paint patchiness, undulation, color mismatch, or improper grouting—and ensure corrective actions.
+ Maintain snag lists and ensure timely closure.
**3. Material Management**
+ Estimate material requirements (putty, paint, primer, polish, grout, adhesives, sealants, etc.).
+ Verify material quality, batch numbers, and storage conditions.
+ Coordinate with vendors for timely material delivery and track consumption.
**4. Coordination & Communication**
+ Coordinate with **architects, interior teams, MEP supervisors, and subcontractors** to schedule finishing works.
+ Plan sequencing of finishing activities to avoid rework and damage by other trades.
+ Attend site meetings, prepare daily reports, and update progress to management.
**5. Safety & Compliance**
+ Ensure workers follow safety protocols related to painting materials, solvents, chemicals, and polishing equipment.
+ Ensure compliance with **site safety norms** , PPE usage, and housekeeping.
**Required Skills & Competencies**
+ Strong knowledge of **painting systems** (primer, putty, topcoat, textured finish, enamel, emulsion, etc.).
+ Proficiency in **wood polishing techniques** (melamine, PU matte/gloss, coat sanding, stain application).
+ Understanding of **tile grouting types** (epoxy grout, cement grout) and application.
+ Ability to read architectural and interior drawings.
+ Knowledge of finishing standards, defect identification, and rectification.
+ Good communication, site supervision, and team management skills.
**Qualifications**
+ Diploma/B.E. in Civil Engineering or Interior Technology.
+ 5–10 years of experience in finishing works execution.
+ Experience working with contractors and interior finishing projects preferred.
**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**
+ Finishing quality and defect-free handovers
+ On-time completion of finishing phases
+ Minimal rework and material wastage
+ Compliance with safety and specification standards
