Duties Description The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill an Engineer Trainee, NS, position assigned to the Administrative Support Services Group (ASSG), Bureau of Capital Operations. ASSG supervises and manages OMH’s capital planning and construction program, and provides direct technical assistance for physical plant operations and maintenance. Under the direct supervision of the Professional Engineer 2, the Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) will be responsible for assisting in the comprehensive oversight of the Plant Operations & Maintenance program area for the Office of Mental Health (OMH). The incumbent of this position will provide technical direction to consultant resources and provide mechanical engineering guidance and direction to facilities planners, facility plant superintendents, and facility administrators on plant operation and maintenance issues impacting OMH facilities and the capital projects completed at these facilities.
