Goldman Sachs is seeking a strong developer to be an integral part of the GenAI Semantic Search team. The GenAI Semantic Search team builds highly scalable, performant and distributed semantic search engine while employing current NLP techniques and algorithms and evaluating various LLMs. The search engine is used to feed into RAG and AI-enabled applications. 

Required Qualifications:

• Backend java developer with experience writing multi-threaded, concurrent, scalable, and distributed applications. Must be update on current and opensource stack - Kafka, ElasticSearch, gRPC, MongoDb, Hazelcast, Vertx, 
• Experience with writing microservices and distributed applications
• Knowledge of Python especially in the NLP and data manipulation area
• Knowledge of how search engines work and LUCENE
• Knowledge of vector database is a plus
