Seeking a visionary and results-driven engineering leader to head our Isolation Valves Technology Centre of Excellence (ISVTechCoE) in Talegaon, India. As head of the ISVTechCoE, you unite cross‑SBU valve & controls engineering teams—including global data, product configuration, PLM, and technical services (Materials, FEA, Product Testing)—to execute the business unit’s most critical initiatives. Your leadership will ensure our engineering capabilities are aligned with critical business priorities, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
• Understand business needs and develop a strong organization strategy including people, process, technology, and drive execution and improvement
• Work with business and engineering leaders to prioritize requirements and resource them suitably, while ensuring execution through reviews and monthly reports
• Drive innovation culture and harness creativity of team and drive advance technology to commonize and globalize key engineering processes for ISV
• Develop tools and reports used to evaluate team executional capacity to make data-driven staff decisions
• Maintain an organizational structure that provides career opportunities for talents to learn, grow, and contribute to driving growth and providing stability
• Execute a comprehensive people process including hiring, development, performance management, and retention aligned to Emerson process
• Energize team through open and candid communication on regular basis through town hall, round tables, skip level meetings, etc.
• Partner and benchmark with other Emerson SBUs to leverage best practices in our common engineering processes
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and Admin to resolve any operational issues, ensure smooth functioning of organization and drive efficiency through operational excellence

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering/Science discipline
• years of work experience
• Experience in managing large engineering/technology teams preferably for global engineering centers
• Strong engineering management skills involving people management, operational excellence, technology management, and program management
• Exceptional strategic skills with strong analytical thinking
• Must be highly action-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to drive initiatives forward, ensure accountability, and overcome obstacles
• Excellent communication skills with ability to work across different levels in the organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process efficiency
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage and influence stakeholders
• Displays courage in driving change overcoming political/cultural resistance
• Be willing to travel to global business locations as needed
