Engineering Inspector (Full Time)

Duties

: The incumbent in this class assists management to achieve an efficient operation in the Department through reliable performance in all areas of inspections work, administration of the Land Development Bylaw, observing and complying with municipal policies, ensuring the safety and security of confidential material pertaining to the Department's operation.



The incumbent will be responsible for all technical work related to engineering inspection work and services; liaising with the public, contractors, engineers, developers, foreign utility companies (B.C. Gas, B.C. Tel., B.C. Hydro, and local cable television) and reviewing engineering plans and making site inspections related to subdivision development, service connections, driveway permits, culvert permits, and foreign utility installations; investigating and reporting on technical problems in servicing of subdivisions, inspecting and making recommendations in regard to highway access and basement elev...
