Engineering Manager – GenAI Startup (Chennai)

We’re building a next-generation GenAI product for the US market, backed by a successful serial entrepreneur. As we scale our engineering team in Chennai, we’re looking for an Engineering Manager who enjoys building products, leading teams, and shipping real-world AI solutions.

40-60 L.P.A

What You’ll Do

• Lead day-to-day engineering execution and feature delivery

• Work closely with founders, product, and US-based stakeholders

• Design and build scalable backend systems and AI-powered workflows

• Stay hands-on with coding in the early stages

• Integrate GenAI capabilities (LLMs, embeddings, vector DBs, RAG, APIs, Agentic)

• Mentor engineers and help grow a strong Chennai engineering team

• Ensure best practices in code quality, CI/CD, and cloud deployment

What We’re Looking For

• 10–15 years of software engineering experience

• 1–3 years as a Tech Lead / Engineering Manager / Technology Manager

• Strong backend, API, and cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure)

• Practical exposure to GenAI / AI systems in production

• Experience building and shipping SaaS or product platforms

• Comfortable collaborating with US clients 

• Startup or fast-growth experience is a plus
