Job Description

Our client, a modern brewery based in Greece, is looking to recruit an Engineering Manager to ensure the integrity and reliability of the production plant by implementing and effectively administering maintenance systems, manage the utilities department to world class standard and ensure successful implementation of capital projects.

Areas of Responsibility:
• Develop and implement world class maintenance standards throughout Production through a Total Productive Maintenance (TPU) approach.
• Manage the engineering team to optimise efficient running of all production equipment through uptime and efficient running of all equipment.
• Ensure the brewery complies with relevant legislation and regulations by maintaining knowledge of legal requirements and ensuring all surveys and insurance inspections are completed on time.
• Ensure capital projects are completed on time and within budget by co-ordinating and planning of work.
• Manage the utilities department to provide cost effective services and utilities when required by production including water treatment, steam generation, refrigeration, CO2 recovery and waste water treatment.
• Continuously improve key utilities ratios including water, electricity, gas and effluent.
• Ensure the Brewery operates within company and legislated Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) standards.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Control costs within the Engineering department.

Experience and qualifications:
• Qualified Engineer, preferably demonstrating both mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge.
• At least 10 years of proven experience in engineering with 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience in FMCG manufacturing environment, preferably beer.
• Experience in developing and implementing maintenance systems.
• Strong technical engineering, utilities and packaging skills.
• Ability to communicate in Greek essential and English would be an advantage
