Engineering Manager - HVAC

Design of HVAC system for various building and infrastructure projects.

Oversee the development of HVAC system designs from concept through to detailed design and IFC.

Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, NFPA etc.), and local authority regulations.

Strong knowledge of HVAC software tools (e.g., HAP, Carrier E20, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, etc.).

Review and approve design drawings, equipment selections, calculations, and technical specifications.

Collaborate with other disciplines (Electrical, ELV, Plumbing, FPS, Architectural, Civil & Structural) to ensure coordinated MEP designs.

Perform and/or guide the team in performing cooling/heating load calculations, equipment sizing, and duct/pipe routing.

Manage design timelines, deliverables, and ensure adherence to project schedules and quality standards.x

Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to understand project requirements and provide design leadership.

Provide technical support to the site team during execution, testing, and commissioning phases.

Mentor and develop junior engineers and ensure continual technical growth within the team.

Support sustainability goals by incorporating energy-efficient and environmentally responsible design strategies.

Coordinate with procurement and estimation teams for technical inputs on HVAC equipment and materials.

Develop and implement engineering best practices, design guidelines, and quality control processes.

Supervise preparation of HVAC design documentation including BOQs, specifications, and reports. 

Good knowledge of various HVAC equipment like chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, and ventilation fans.
