OverviewJoin to apply for the Engineering Manager - Orchestration & Actions role at Celonis. As part of the scaling Orchestration & Automation team, you will have a huge impact on helping teams and engineers build and operate resilient, reliable and scalable systems.
The TeamAs part of our scaling Orchestration & Automation team, you’ll have ownership over our product’s health, ensuring end-to-end availability and peak performance, contributing to software development and maintenance. You’ll work with the latest tech stack in Go, DevOps tooling, CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure as code, and interact with the Platform and SRE organization.
The RoleAs an Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for a team of up to 12 engineers working in Orchestration & Automation. You’ll support them in delivering robust solutions across the full stack, from backend to frontend, and platform to product. You will collaborate with product, UX, and engineering to enhance our orchestration & automation capabilities and shape the future with agentic composable enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Team management for up to 12 individual contributors
- Guide and enhance the professional growth of engineers, including staff and senior staff, while managing performance
- Collaborate with leadership, cross-functional stakeholders and fellow engineering teams to guarantee the creation and implementation of influential product functionalities
- Partner with Product, Platform, SRE and QE to deliver end-to-end solutions with high availability & reliability
- Shape the team’s roadmap with product management, workstreams and internal discovery & delivery processes
- Guide a technical roadmap to ensure systems meet modern standards and best practices
- Contribute to development across frontend, backend or platform responsibilities
- Minimum 3 years experience in an Engineering Manager or technical leadership role, guiding projects and teams
- Advanced technical expertise, equivalent to staff engineer level in software engineering
- Experience with Go, Java Spring Boot, Angular, Microfrontend architecture, Postgres, and microservices
- Excellent English communication skills for collaboration with global teams
- Familiarity with agile methodologies for daily team organization
- Ability to provide leadership and drive strategic direction
- Skilled in resolving technical conflicts and promoting a positive escalation environment
- Willing to actively support the team through hands-on assistance
