Engineering Manager (Platform Services)

Our client in the Fintech space is seeking a fulltime/permanent Engineering Manager, Platform Services to lead and grow a team responsible for building scalable, reliable core platform services.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering technical excellence and career growth.
• Own the technical direction and delivery for core platform services , APIs, and shared infrastructure.
• Partner with Product and Architecture to define roadmaps, priorities, and delivery plans.
• Drive scalable, secure, and maintainable system design aligned with long-term platform strategy.
• Improve engineering practices across CI/CD, testing, observability, and reliability.
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction and platform health.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Security, Data, and Product Engineering teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an engineering leadership or manager role .
• Strong background building and scaling cloud-based, distributed systems or platform services .
• Experience leading Agile teams and delivering in a SaaS or product-led environment .
• Solid understanding of modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing).
• Ability to provide architectural guidance without being the sole hands-on contributor.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional settings.
• Experience working in remote or hybrid engineering organizations is an asset.
