Role Summary

We are looking for an Engineering Manager who can lead high-impact engineering teams while balancing people leadership, execution excellence, technical strategy, and business alignment. This role is critical in scaling our engineering organization and delivering reliable, high-quality systems deployed in real-world environments.

You will work closely with Product, Business, and cross-functional teams to translate company vision into predictable engineering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. People Management & Team Growth

  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering teams
  • Drive regular 1:1s, feedback cycles, performance reviews, and career development
  • Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, accountability, and quality
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and team capability building
  • Promote awareness and adherence to IP security and confidentiality practices

2. Delivery & Project Management

  • Own end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives — planning to release
  • Translate product and business requirements into clear milestones and deliverables
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery, dependency, and resourcing risks proactively
  • Drive process optimization to improve predictability, efficiency, and quality
  • Ensure disciplined execution without unnecessary process overhead

3. Technical Strategy

  • Define and enforce architecture guidelines and engineering standards
  • Guide system design decisions and provide architectural oversight
  • Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform scalability and maintainability
  • Ensure technical best practices around code quality, reviews, and documentation
  • Safeguard company IP through technical controls such as access management and code ownership

4. Business Alignment

  • Partner with Product and Leadership teams on roadmap planning
  • Translate business priorities into realistic engineering plans and timelines
  • Make informed trade-offs between speed, quality, and cost
  • Communicate progress, risks, and roadmap impacts clearly to stakeholders

 Must-Have Skills:

  • 7+ years of engineering experience with 2+ years in people management
  • Strong understanding of system design, architecture, and software engineering fundamentals
  • Proven experience delivering complex projects in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to lead both people and execution effectively
  • Experience working closely with Product and Business stakeholders
  • Experience in robotics, automation, embedded systems, or deep-tech products
  • Exposure to distributed systems, real-time systems, or platform engineering
  • Prior startup or scale-up experience
  • Experience with engineering teams working on real-world deployments
