Why Join Us

We enable tens of thousands of companies—from startups to enterprises—to proactively control spend, reduce costs, and increase efficiency on a global scale. Working at Brex pushes you to challenge the status quo, collaborate with bright minds, and grow your career with resources and support for success.

Engineering at Brex

Our engineering teams span Software, Data, Security, and IT. We build scalable systems with autonomy and collaboration, tackling hard technical problems, owning outcomes, and advancing excellence from architecture to deployment. Engineering at Brex is a craft, and builders become leaders.

What You’ll Do

As a hands‑on, player‑coach leader, you will lead the high‑performing team responsible for the Salesforce platform and its integrated ecosystem. You will partner with functional leaders to translate business needs into a scalable technical roadmap, ensuring secure, reliable, and high‑impact solutions.

Where You’ll Work

This role is based in our San Francisco, NY, Seattle, or Vancouver office. We operate a hybrid environment with a minimum of two coordinated office days per week (Wednesday and Thursday). Starting February 2, 2026, we will require three days per week in office—Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Up to four weeks per year of fully remote work are also available.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a high‑performing team of Salesforce engineers, fostering career development through coaching, feedback, and hands‑on guidance.
  • Drive the architectural vision and technical roadmap for the Salesforce platform and integrated GTM applications.
  • Champion and integrate AI‑native solutions within our Ops/CX/GTM systems and internal workflows.
  • Operate at all levels, contributing to solution design and code reviews while guiding the team through complex technical challenges.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, CX, and Operations, acting as a strategic advisor to translate business needs into a prioritized engineering backlog.
  • Align ad‑hoc requests to broader business strategy, ensuring focus on impactful work and confidently declining misaligned projects.
  • Own operational excellence of the team, managing sprint capacity, removing blockers, and ensuring high‑velocity, high‑quality delivery.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including advanced DevOps (CI/CD, source control, release management), code quality, and system governance.
  • Design and oversee implementation of complex integrations and automation across GTM systems and third‑party applications.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Salesforce development and architecture, with at least 2+ years managing or leading technical teams in a high‑growth environment.
  • Proven ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and its upstream/downstream applications, systems, and processes.
  • Deep expertise in the Salesforce platform: Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and platform APIs.
  • Strong command of Salesforce DevOps best practices, source control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise deployment strategies.
  • Experience architecting and building robust integrations between Salesforce and the broader GTM tool ecosystem.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strategic mindset balancing long‑term platform health with immediate business needs, and a proven ability to prioritize and push back when work is not aligned with company goals.
  • A passion for leveraging AI to improve both team productivity and product outcomes.
  • English proficiency/fluency, both written and speaking.

Bonus Points

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application/System Architect).
  • Experience managing remote or distributed engineering teams.
  • Experience building Slack applications and integrations.
  • Previous non‑Salesforce software engineering experience.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $240,000 – $300,000. The starting base pay will depend on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total package.
