The Opportunity
Jeavio seeks a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our internal technology initiatives and act as a force multiplier for the CTO's office. This role combines product leadership, people management, and operational excellence—owning the teams and platforms that power Jeavio's AI-native delivery capabilities.
You'll lead a team of engineers working on various AI initiatives. The position requires someone who can operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on manager, translating vision into execution while building and nurturing high-performing teams.
This role is hands-on, and execution driven. Beyond leadership and strategy, you will be expected to delve into product and delivery details where necessary, while helping teams make sense of ambiguous problems, unblock decision bottlenecks, and drive clarity in fast-moving environments.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead and develop a 20+ engineers including leads and individual contributors
Build team culture, establish performance expectations, and support career growth across diverse experience levels
Act as a closer for high-potential or high-value candidates during recruiting
Manage team capacity, assignments, and workload balancing across concurrent initiatives
Coordinate with US and India-based leadership to ensure delivery against roadmap commitments
Operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces, breaking down loosely defined tasks into clear roadmaps and actionable next steps for the teams
Required Qualifications
Leadership & Management:
Demonstrated experience managing technical or product teams of 10+ people, including managing managers
Track record of building team culture, developing talent, and driving accountability
Experience operating in matrixed or dual-reporting structures
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
Product & Technical:
Strong product mindset with experience owning roadmaps, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment
High-level understanding of AI/ML concepts and current capabilities
Proficiency using AI tools (Claude, Chat GPT, Gemini) for daily work
Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams without requiring hands-on coding
Ability to break down abstract problem statements into structured plans, decisions, and execution steps for diverse teams.
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfort presenting to senior leadership and occasionally to clients
Experience coordinating across functions and time zones
Flexibility to accommodate occasional late evening meetings for US timezone overlap
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in technology services, consulting, or product companies
Background in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or technical pre-sales
Experience with AI/ML product development or delivery
Hands-on coding experience (Python or similar)
Track record of building or scaling internal platforms or tools
Experience with graduate recruiting or talent development programs
