Engineering Technician – Boilermaker at Gold Fields

The Engineering Department

of Damang Gold Mine

is seeking to employ a self-motivated, dedicated and experienced individual to fill the position of Engineering Technician – Boilermaker. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the application of knowledge and experience in carrying out fabrication trade duties in a responsible, safe, efficient and effective manner to achieve plant availability and reliability, according to standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

:

Carrying out fabrication duties to maintain and repair machinery.

Undertake daily routine fault tracing and report supervisors

Collate inputs from peers to enhance continuous improvement

Carry out responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner

Ensure effective use of PPE according to standard procedures

Accountable for own safety and that of his team

Ensure that areas of responsibility are maintained to a high standard of housekeeping

Ensure compliance with ISO :8 and ISO :5 requirements

Key Requirements

NVTI Certificate or equivalent qualification in Welding and Fabrication

Minimum Of 3 Years’ Experience In Similar Position

Ability to work for long hours to obtain required results with little supervision

Well-developed oral and written communication skills

Good interpersonal and supervisory skills

Medical fitness for the position and environment

A valid Ghanaian drivers’ licence and proficiency in driving light vehicles
