Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team at our Corporate Headquarters in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. As a Service Technician II, you will provide technical assistance and guidance to production, customer support, field service, and engineering teams. You will perform service, troubleshooting, and repair activities on complex electro-mechanical systems and subassemblies used in medical equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Perform service duties across all product types in compliance with quality policies, ESD precautions, and OSHA guidelines.
+ Generate service orders for customer and company-owned systems and sub-assemblies.
+ Verify fault conditions and identify faulty components using troubleshooting techniques; repair or replace components as needed.
+ Conduct thorough cleaning and inspection of returned systems and sub-assemblies.
+ Obtain replacement parts and perform inventory transactions within ERP/MRP databases.
+ Review Engineering Change Order records and Service Memos for updates on software, hardware, and repair procedures.
+ Install new software and update hardware components, including quality and performance testing.
+ Integrate current product design changes into repair activities.
+ Test products to ensure they meet design specifications.
+ Enter repair information into SAP, SalesForce, and TrackWise databases.
+ Update device history and complaint records; prepare repair records for customer invoices.
+ Arrange return shipments in partnership with Customer Support.
+ Generate quality system records on applicable documentation.
+ Participate in continuous improvement activities related to process, documentation, and material improvements.
+ Assist other technicians with diagnostics, repairs, and training.
+ Provide fault logs, observed data, troubleshooting, and repair information to Quality, Engineering, and Post-Market Surveillance Departments.
+ Support Field Service Area Supervisors with customer issues.
+ Adhere to tools and equipment calibration schedules.
+ Maintain accurate inventory counts and a clean work environment.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 2 years of electro/mechanical assembly or repair experience.
+ Proficiency in using mechanical assembly tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.
+ Moderate knowledge of measurement equipment like digital multimeters, calipers, and micrometers.
+ Moderate computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and MRP systems.
+ Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs), ISO regulations, and Quality Systems.
+ Ability to follow manufacturing process directions and assemble components mechanically.
+ Ability to maintain accurate documentation and transact materials online using software programs like SAP, SalesForce, and TrackWise.
+ Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy.
+ Effective teamwork and positive interpersonal relationship skills.
+ Moderate to high problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
+ Physical ability to lift and package assemblies up to 60 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associates or Technical Degree, or equivalent knowledge through education and experience.
+ 3-5 years of experience in a technician role diagnosing and repairing software-driven electro-mechanical equipment.
+ 2+ years of experience with strict documentation practices.
+ Knowledge of ISO and FDA regulations.
+ Experience using ERP and complaint handling databases.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
