Talascend is currently seeking a Engineering Technician for a contract opportunity located in Everett, WA.
OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking to contract with a highly capable and motivated engineering technician to work with the test engineers to run the uranium metal slug fabrication experimental program. This work will be essentially full time for all of 2024. The work will be done in phases: Installation and cold testing of process equipment in lab Testing of the U-10Zr alloying steps using injection casting furnace Full slug fabrication experimental runs including melting, casting, demolding and trimming.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support test engineers in DU Lab test operations: Prepare for test runs (manage supplies and materials, equipment readiness, etc.) Hands-on operation of test equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, induction furnace, industrial shear, general shop too...
