Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description

As an Engineering Technician, you will play a vital role in evaluating, isolating, and documenting mechanical and electrical failures. You will be responsible for setting up bench test equipment, performing qualification and validation activities, and maintaining essential manufacturing, quality, and materials records. Your work will support tooling and standards databases and involve entering and updating Bill of Materials in the ERP system.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and document mechanical and electrical failures.
  • Set up bench test equipment for device diagnostics.
  • Perform qualification and validation activities to support manufacturing and engineering.
  • Maintain manufacturing, quality, and materials records.
  • Support and streamline tooling and product/part document systems.
  • Enter and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system.
  • Coordinate and assist with customer SCR/ECR/ECOs and ECNs.
  • Coordinate engineering prototype builds.
  • Support process capabilities, evaluations, and improvements.
  • Interpret customer prints, bills of materials, and special requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve product issues.
  • Essential Skills
  • 1+ year of experience in electronics or relevant experience from school.
  • Proficiency in test set up and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting, oscilloscopes, circuit testing, and circuit boards.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, optical inspection, and validation processes.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to assist with test fixtures and troubleshoot failed circuit boards.
  • Experience in test setups.
  • Work Environment

    In this role, you will interface with customers to assess and document packages, supporting methods improvement activities. You may also collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to introduce new products, prepare documentation, develop training, and produce estimate and analysis reports. This position offers opportunities for growth within the test department and encourages streamlining and automation of product data management systems.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Mankato, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
