Engineering Technician - System Planning

Seeking a process driven and detail-oriented Engineering Technician for System Planning Projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical utility industry.

This position is responsible for electric system planning under the direction of the System Planning Engineer.

This position is located at our office in Boerne, TX and may require some occasional travel to project sites.  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The principal duties and responsibilities of the Engineering Technician- System Planning consist of, but are not limited to, the following:  Prepare system planning studies including load forecasts, determining improvements projects, cost estimates, map updates, and planning report production.

Complete various planning analysis and studies including:

• new service supply plans, short circuit and system coordination, arc flash, motor start, capacitor placement, outage repor...
