ENGINEER/SCIENTIST

Job Description Duties You will serve as the Test and Evaluation (T and E) Chief Engineer (CHENG) for Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD). You will work alongside the division's CHENG and Chief Scientist, advising division leadership on matters pertaining to the current and future state of T and E capabilities and the general state of EO/IR technology. You will provide technical leadership in electro-optic, infrared, and laser technology areas. You will develop a long-term vision for EO/IR T and E capabilities in tandem with Chief Engineer and Chief Scientist and communicate across the organization. You will manage upgrade to T and E enhancements for the division, this includes facility enhancements, test equipment acquisition, installations, etc. You will assist in obtaining funding sources and/or proposals to aid in T and E upgrades beyond direct program funding to pursue funding for future T and E capabilities.
