Job Description
Enterprise Data Warehouse & Power BI QA
We are looking for an experienced Data QA Engineer to support Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) initiatives with a strong focus on data validation, ETL testing, and Power BI reporting . This role requires hands-on SQL expertise and close collaboration with Agile delivery teams to ensure high data quality across analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Execute hands-on data validation and testing for EDW solutions, including ETL pipelines, data transformations, and reporting layers
Design and execute test cases to validate:
Source-to-target mappings
Data accuracy and completeness
Business rules and transformations
Perform SQL-based data analysis , reconciliation, and defect investigation across multiple data sources and targets
Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners within Scrum teams to validate requirements and ensure data quality
Validate Power BI dashboards and reports , including:
Data accuracy and calculations
Filters and visual behavior
Security (Row-Level Security – RLS)
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies , providing timely feedback on data risks and quality gaps
Log, track, retest, and validate defect fixes within sprint timelines
Support regression testing , data quality checks, and validation of incremental and historical data loads
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems , or equivalent experience
5+ years of hands-on EDW / Data QA experience
2+ years of hands-on Power BI testing experience
Strong SQL skills with a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts:
ETL processes
Fact and dimension tables
Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs)
Experience testing data in platforms such as:
SQL Server
Azure Synapse
Databricks
or similar data platforms
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with on-shore and off-shore teams
