Enterprise DNS & DHCP Operations Engineer -L1

Role Purpose
The L1 Enterprise DNS & DHCP Operations Engineer will be responsible for

day-to-day monitoring, basic configuration, and operational support

of enterprise DNS (BIND & Microsoft AD DNS) and DHCP services. The role focuses on

service availability, routine changes, documentation, and escalation to L2/L3 teams when required .

Key Responsibilities
DNS Operations (BIND & AD DNS)
Monitor DNS services and servers using enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., HPOM or equivalent).
Perform routine DNS record management:
A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, PTR, NS records.
Create and manage DNS zones on

Master and Slave servers

as per approved requests.
Configure and maintain DNS forwarders and zone delegations.
Support IP address changes and FQDN updates following approved change procedures.
Validate DNS resolution, replication, and zone transfers.
