Your impact

As an Entry Level Conveyance Design Engineer, you will focus on performing routine assignments under the guidance and direction from more senior level professionals for the design of water/wastewater pipelines, pump stations and other conveyance related projects across northern California including a range of project sizes. Design includes but not limited to, planning, preliminary design, technical writing, and construction drawing and specification production, and services during construction. You will also have the opportunity to grow professionally through your participation with internal project teams delivering challenging projects

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine assignments
  • Has an understanding of fundamental theories, principles and concepts
  • Performs structured work assignments
  • Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
  • Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level professionals
  • Aids in conceptual and final design drawings and specification packages for municipal, agricultural, and other water agencies
  • Aids utility research and field investigations 
  • Aids in alternatives analyses and route studies to define work in preliminary phases
  • Aids hydraulic and design calculations to support design development
  • Aids in writing technical memorandums and basis of design reports to convey design criteria, alternatives analyses, and concepts to clients and stakeholders
  • Aids in reviewing construction documents and services during construction
  • Aids in contributing to client communications, presentations, and deliverables
  • Communicates effectively internally and externally
  • Develops and maintain mentor and mentee relationships with staff within the conveyance design team
  • Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
  •  Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have: 

  • 0-2 years of experience having exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts on a variety of projects including conveyance pipeline design and/or water/wastewater pump station design
  • Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently
  • Posted Salary Range: Minimum 62,500.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 109,500.00

    The base salary range for this position is $62,500.00 to $109,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
