The role involves supporting power distribution infrastructure upgrades and storm hardening projects across the state. This position requires a blend of engineering calculations and design work, including the replacement of deteriorating cables, transitioning overhead lines to underground, reconductoring distribution lines, and replacing aging poles. The designer will perform structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, and coordinate electric demand, fault currents, and protective devices.
