Entry Level Lab Technician

Actalent is seeking a lab technician to support an industrial paint manufacturing company in Columbus. This role involves coordinating the collection of random samples from production batches and conducting a wide variety of complex testing processes to measure the physical characteristics of products. The position is a long term opportunity and on 3rd shift, from 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Monday-Friday (Sunday night - Friday morning).

Responsibilities

  • Follow batch ticket recipes with a high degree of accuracy for weights and measurements.
  • Perform complex testing processes on production batches to measure the product's physical or chemical characteristics, including viscosity, weight per unit of measure, flow, gloss, and color characteristics compared with standards.
