Environmental Geochemist

Overview

Environmental Geochemist role at BBA Consultants. We are looking for an experienced Environmental Geochemist to take on a key role within our national environmental team to help our mining and industrial clientele.

Responsibilities

• Performing and supervising geochemical characterization studies (ore, tailings, or mine waste rock) and contributing to closure planning
• Assessing the acid rock drainage (ARD) and neutral drainage potential, along with contaminant leaching risks
• Predicting water quality from mine tailings storage facilities
• Defining acceptable mine tailings management methods to prevent or mitigate impacts on water quality and the environment
• Applying a strong understanding of Québec, Canadian, and international regulations related to water management, mine tailings, and mine site reclamation
