Essential Tasks Operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Backup Operator in Responsible Charge (BORC) Because the Monroe facility has NPDES and Pretreatment permits, this is a state-required position, which must be licensed through the state of North Carolina. Analytical Sampling - Collect samples required by the Pretreatment permit. Also collect samples and perform analysis for daily in-house monitoring. Treatment Chemical Management - Monitor treatment chemical storage tank levels and makes additions as necessary. Used Oil Treatment and Recycling - Treat used oil and coolants from the Monroe & Bakers plants using various treatment technologies.
