EOI - High Voltage Auto Electrician - FIFO

Brooks Mechanical is looking for an experienced and safety-focusedHigh Voltage Auto Electrician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll take the lead on installing, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage equipment across our projects, ensuring reliability and safety in some of WA’s toughest environments. You’ll bring your trade qualifications, HV switching expertise, and mine site experience to a role where no two days are the same.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical system faults on heavy mobile equipment.
  • Servicing and maintaining equipment like electric drive trucks, excavators, and loaders.
  • Installing new wiring and high-voltage components.
  • Conducting field diagnostics and breakdown repairs.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to Australian compliance standards.
  • Liaising with other teams to minimise equipment downtime.
  • Air conditioning diagnostic and repairs.
  • Undertake other reasonable tasks and duties as directed by your Workshop Foreman/Supervisor.

What You’ll Bring

  • Hold a valid, recognised Electrical Trade Certificate (essential).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Proven diagnostic and fault-finding skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
  • Hold a current ‘A’ Grade Electrical License (Essential).
  • High Voltage (HV) Switching ticket. Highly desirable for this specialised role.
  • Hold a valid A/C Refrigerant Licence with extensive diagnostic experience.
  • Experience with earthmoving equipment and/or specific brands such as CAT, Komatsu, or Liebherr and XCMG, is highly valued.
  • Current valid C-class driver’s licence (HR, LF and HC desirable).
  • Ability to work independently in remote and challenging conditions.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement principles.
