Salary: $120,000-$130,000(commensurate with experience)

Reports To: Senior Director of Commissary Technology

Position Overview

The Functional Analyst is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimizing the Sage X3 platform across manufacturing and distribution operations. This role acts as a bridge between the end-user community, process engineering, and the technical development teams, ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into system solutions. The Functional Analyst will evaluate new processes, manage system integrations, coordinate testing, and ensure successful deployments to production environments.

Key Responsibilities


System & Process Analysis

  • Collaborate with business users to evaluate, document, and optimize business processes within the Sage X3 ERP system.
  • Identify gaps between business requirements and existing system capabilities; recommend scalable solutions aligned with best practices.
  • Lead discovery sessions for new functional enhancements or process changes.

    • Implementation & Integration

  • Support design, configuration, and testing of new features, integrations, and workflows within Sage X3.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure proper data flow and system interoperability with third-party applications.
  • Validate and document functional specifications for development or interface work.

    • Testing & Deployment

  • Develop and execute functional test plans for patches, upgrades, and new deployments.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and obtain sign-off from business stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all changes are validated in non-production environments before go-live in the production folder.

    • Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with the Sage team’s process engineers to align functional design with business goals.
  • Support on-site Sage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in each commissary to resolve issues and improve system utilization.
  • Serve as the primary functional liaison between end users and technical

    • Qualifications


    Required

  • 3+ years of hands-on ERP experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
  • Strong understanding of Sage X3 core modules including Manufacturing, Distribution, Inventory, and Purchasing.
  • Proven ability to work across business and technical teams to analyze requirements and implement solutions.
  • Experience in functional testing, system documentation, and change management within ERP environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    • Preferred

  • Experience with Sage X3 integrations using web services or middleware.
  • Familiarity with SQL or basic data query tools for troubleshooting and analysis.
  • Background in food manufacturing, commissary operations, or multi-site ERP deployments.
  • Crystal Reports experience.
