Estimating Intern

Five-S Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimating Intern to support the Preconstruction and Estimating team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to heavy civil and marine construction estimating processes, including quantity take-offs, bid preparation, cost analysis, and subcontractor solicitation. The Estimating Intern will work closely with Estimators, Project Managers, and Operations leadership to develop foundational skills in preconstruction planning and cost development. This position is primarily office-based in Baton Rouge, LA, with opportunities for limited field exposure to support site visits, quantity verification, and constructability reviews. The role offers a comprehensive introduction to the estimating function and its critical role in project success. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
