Estimator Location:

• Columbus, MS Job Type: Full-time Gregory Construction, an industry-recognized and award-winning provider of construction services, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Columbus, MS.


• Our work focuses on mission critical facilities (such as data centers), civil infrastructure, and underground utility projects , with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality construction solutions for universities, municipalities, the Department of Transportation, and industrial partners.
• As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates that drive project success.
• This position is ideal for a professional with significant estimating experience in heavy civil, mission critical, or utility construction who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Responsibilities Prepare complete quantity take-offs, analysis, and estimates for assigned scopes of work.
• Develop detailed estimates for trades, building systems, and overall project costs.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals, ensuring scope coverage and minimizing risk.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to align estimates with project execution.
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Estimators, Estimating Assistants, and/or Interns as assigned.
• Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in construction (heavy civil, mission critical, or utility work strongly preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field; or equivalent education/training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard estimating software.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze contract documents, drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Some travel required.
