Partner Staffing on behalf of our
client, <\/span><\/span><\/span>we are seeking a highly skilled and
detail -oriented <\/span><\/span>Construction Estimator<\/span><\/span><\/b> to support the planning and
delivery of major <\/span><\/span>infrastructure and building projects<\/span><\/span><\/b> throughout
Calgary and the surrounding region. The ideal candidate brings strong technical
expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to develop accurate, competitive,
and well -supported cost estimates for projects ranging from municipal
infrastructure and civil works to commercial and institutional buildings.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

  • Prepare full -cycle cost
    estimates for infrastructure, civil, and building projects, including
    quantity take -offs, cost analysis, and pricing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Review drawings,
    specifications, and tender documents to identify scope requirements, risk
    factors, cost drivers, and opportunities for value engineering.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Develop detailed cost
    breakdowns, unit rates, and labour/equipment/productivity allowances based
    on industry standards and project -specific conditions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Coordinate with project
    managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing,
    clarify scopes, and confirm constructability considerations.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Participate in pre -bid
    meetings, site visits, and design reviews to ensure accurate cost
    assessment.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Prepare tender submissions,
    schedules of quantities, cash flow projections, and supporting
    documentation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Maintain databases of
    historical costs, subcontractor/supplier lists, and market pricing for
    continuous improvement.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Support project handover by
    communicating estimate assumptions, constraints, and risk items to the
    project execution team.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assist with change order
    pricing, budget updates, and cost forecasting as required.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Contribute to estimating
    process improvements and mentor junior team members when appropriate.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    Qualifications<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>
    <\/span><\/span><\/p>

  •  <\/span><\/span>7+ years of
    experience<\/span><\/span><\/b> in construction estimating within infrastructure, civil, or
    building sectors.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Strong understanding of
    construction methods, materials, unit rates, labour productivity, and
    market conditions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Proven experience with
    municipal infrastructure, civil works, structural and architectural
    building elements, or related scopes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Ability to interpret
    engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Strong analytical skills,
    attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Excellent communication and
    interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Post -secondary education in
    Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
    considered an asset.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • CET, PMP, PQS, Gold Seal, or
    relevant professional designation is an advantage.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
