We’re still hunting for that unicorn – a genuinely standalone Estimator who enjoys owning the role and operating with real autonomy.
This is a new assignment with a client I know well. The Managing Director is one of the good ones: he trusts his people, supports them, and gives them the freedom to do their job properly. No micromanagement. No ego. Just a well-run business.
The company is a small, close-knit contractor (circa 10 people) delivering commercial and industrial fit-out projects between £500k and £3m. It’s a business where people communicate, collaborate, and pull together. No corporate noise, no unnecessary bureaucracy, no politics.
The Role
