Job Description
· To prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for civil construction projects.
· Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify project requirements and potential risks.
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimates.
· Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project scope and identify any potential issues.
· Research and analyze historical data, market trends, and industry standards to inform cost estimates.
· Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses.
· Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
· Create and maintain a database of cost information, including materials, labor rates, and equipment costs.
