About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Engineer Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, robust, and high-performance data solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Data Engineering, GCP, Ascend, Python, and ETL processes , as well as a strong background in architectural design and best practices . You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build end-to-end data pipelines and drive data architecture decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and develop robust data pipelines and ETL workflows.

  • Lead the implementation of scalable data architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .

  • Leverage Ascend.io to orchestrate and automate data engineering tasks.

  • Write efficient, reusable, and scalable code in Python .

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data strategy and architectural roadmaps.

  • Optimize data solutions for performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Ensure data quality, security, and governance are embedded in all solutions.

  • Guide and mentor junior data engineers on best practices and architectural standards.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering and ETL development.

  • Proven experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, etc.).

  • Strong experience using Ascend.io for data pipeline orchestration.

  • Advanced Python programming skills for data engineering tasks.

  • In-depth knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and lakehouse architectures .

  • Experience with tools like Airflow, DBT, or other orchestration frameworks is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD , version control (Git), and DevOps for data workflows.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with distributed teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GCP Professional Data Engineer or Architect certification.

  • Experience working in agile teams and modern data stack environments.

  • Familiarity with data governance tools and principles.
