Job Summary:
Estuate is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Tester to join our Hyderabad team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ETL testing, SQL scripting, and Python-based data validation. You will work closely with data engineers, BI developers, and QA teams to ensure the quality and integrity of data across our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform ETL testing to validate data pipelines, transformations, and data loading processes.
Write complex SQL queries to validate source-to-target data mappings and ensure data accuracy.
Develop Python scripts for data validation, automation, and test case execution.
Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
Work closely with developers and data teams to understand data flows and identify testing needs.
Perform data quality checks and ensure compliance with business rules.
Log defects, track resolution, and conduct regression testing.
Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills:
5–6 years of experience in Data/ETL Testing.
Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, etc.).
Good programming knowledge in Python, especially for test automation or data manipulation.
Experience in working with large datasets and understanding of data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data lakes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
Knowledge of BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an added advantage.
