About the Position

Co-ordinate with reporters and photographers to generate all important stories, package and slot to ensure no important stories are missed out, make pages and give catchy captions, straps ensuring a high quality and engaging edition.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Edit copies, select photos and give graphic ideas, headlines and captions.

  • Liaise with reporters for graphic matter and stories and with photographers for photos to offer our readers a value-added and differentiated product.

  • Draw layout dummies for the assigned pages/edition, decide on stories and pictures to be taken to produce a visually pleasing page.

  • Make pages, give catchy headlines, give smart tagline adages and informative captions, and make attractive and informative graphics and edit and rewrite stories to produce error-free, informative and attractive pages.

  • Scan agencies for relevant stories which are not being covered by reporters to maintain the paper’s edge over competitors and ensure that no story is missed.

    • Educational Qualifications Required

    Graduation degree in any discipline preferably in English with degree or diploma in journalism/mass communication

    2 to 5 Years
