Job Description – ETL Consultant (4–6 Years Experience)
Should have:
- 2–3 years of hands-on ETL development using Azure Data Factory or similar tools, including pipeline design, orchestration, and debugging.
- Strong SQL expertise with ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and implement transformation logic.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts such as fact/dimension design, SCD1/SCD2, surrogate keys, and data partitioning.
- Experience with Azure ecosystem including Data Lake Gen2, Azure SQL/Synapse, integration runtimes, key vault, and data security fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business rules, interpret mapping documents, and convert requirements into scalable ETL logic.
- Experience in production support and incident resolution, including error handling, root-cause analysis, and meeting data refresh SLAs.
- Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines for ETL code deployment, version control, and development best practices.
Good to have:
- Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills, including requirement clarification, documentation, and delivering demos.
- High learning agility, with willingness to adopt new tools (Python, Databricks, API ingestion, Delta Lake) and continuously expand data engineering skills.
