Job Title: ETL Developer - Snowflake

Duration: Long term contract

Summary :

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer to join our client team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes that transform raw data from various sources, such as prescription, call-activity, formulary, and sales data into meaningful insights. This role will ensure that data is accurately and efficiently made available in a central system following established business rules and calculations for use by downstream processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Snowflake to extract, transform, and load data from various sources including Rx, call-activity, formulary, and sales databases.
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to gather requirements for data integration and create ETL workflows that align with business needs.
• Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of data within the central system.
• Implement and maintain business rules and calculations within ETL processes to prepare data for analysis and reporting.
• Create and maintain documentation for ETL processes , data models , and workflows . Ensure that all data transformations are well-documented and accessible.
• Work closely with downstream process owners to understand data needs and provide support for data consumption.
• Monitor and optimize ETL performance to ensure efficient data loading and processing times in Snowflake.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration, preferably in the life sciences industry.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica).

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in SQL and database design.
• Experience with data modeling, metadata, and business intelligence concepts.
• Familiarity with programming languages and dashboards like Tableau, Power BI, and Strategy.

Industry Knowledge:

- Understanding of life sciences data domains (Rx, call-activity, formulary, sales) and regulatory requirements is a plus.

Problem-Solving:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data issues effectively.

Communication:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
