Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior ETL & Reporting Developer with strong experience in SSIS and SSRS to design, develop, and support enterprise data integration and reporting solutions for the Insurance domain . In this role, you will work on insurance data ingestion, transformation, and reporting solutions supporting critical business functions such as Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, Reinsurance, and Regulatory Reporting . You will collaborate with business, data, and application teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions in a structured delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using SSIS for insurance data integration
• Build and enhance SSRS reports and dashboards for operational, management, and regulatory reporting
• Integrate data from core insurance systems such as Policy, Claims, Billing, Underwriting, and external data providers
• Perform data transformations, validations, and enrichments to support insurance analytics and reporting needs
• Implement error handling, logging, and restorability for ETL workflows
• Optimize SSIS packages and SQL queries for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate insurance reporting requirements into technical solutions
• Support UAT, production deployments, and post-production support
• Conduct data reconciliations and ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Document ETL and reporting solutions following enterprise standards
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when required

Required Skills

Data Integration & ETL

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Experience designing complex ETL pipelines and data workflows
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL , stored procedures, and performance tuning
• Experience working with relational databases and data warehouses

Reporting & Analytics

• Strong experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Ability to design parameterized, drill-down, and scheduled reports
• Experience creating operational, analytical, and regulatory reports

Insurance Data & Architecture

• Experience working with large-scale insurance data sets
• Understanding of insurance data concepts such as:
• Policy lifecycle and endorsements
• Claims and loss data
• Premium, billing, and payments
• Reinsurance and actuarial data

Experience & Qualifications

• 6–10 years of overall IT experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with SSIS and SSRS
• Experience delivering production-grade ETL and reporting solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with data quality checks, reconciliation, and audit reporting
• Exposure to SQL Server Agent jobs and scheduling
• Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization
• Exposure to Power BI or modern BI tools
• Experience in Insurance or Financial Services domain

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Ability to mentor and support junior team members
