. Monitoring and Maintenance
Monitor ETL workflows, jobs, and data pipelines (using tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, etc.)
Ensure all scheduled ETL jobs complete successfully within SLA timelines.
Perform daily health checks of ETL jobs and source/target systems.
2. Issue Identification and Resolution
Troubleshoot job failures, performance issues, or data mismatches.
Analyze logs and error messages to determine root cause.
Work with developers or DBAs to resolve issues as needed.
3. Incident and Ticket Management
Handle incidents or service requests raised via ITSM tools (like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy).
Document resolution steps in the ticketing system.
Escalate critical issues as per defined protocols.
4. Data Validation and Quality Checks
Validate data accuracy between source and target.
Identify and fix data discrepancies or anomalies.
Execute ad-hoc queries and reports for data investigation.
5. Job Scheduling and Coordination
Manage job dependencies and rerun failed jobs.
Coordinate with upstream/downstream teams for data availability or job schedules.
6. Deployment and Change Support
Support deployment of ETL code/fixes in non-prod/prod environments.
Perform post-deployment validations.
