Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Data Tester to validate and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of data across multiple systems and data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ETL testing , data validation , data migration testing , and a solid understanding of SQL , data warehousing concepts , and cloud data platforms (Azure Data bricks, Lakes).

Key Responsibilities:

Validate end-to-end data flows from source to target systems in ETL / data pipelines.

Perform data integrity, transformation, and reconciliation testing .

Analyze large datasets using SQL or data tools to verify accuracy and business rules.

Work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements and define test cases.

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data processes.

Identify, log, and track data defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps .

Participate in UAT and provide QA sign-off for data releases.

Perform regression and automation testing for recurring data validation needs.

Validate reports and dashboards (Power BI / Tableau / Looker) for accuracy against the data source.

Support data migration and data quality initiatives by performing root cause analysis on anomalies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong experience in SQL and relational database testing (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.)

Hands-on experience in ETL testing (Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Talend, etc.)

Good understanding of data warehousing concepts , dimensional modeling , and data lakes .

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) – e.g., Data Factory, Databricks, Glue, BigQuery.

Knowledge of Python or PySpark for data validation automation is a plus.

Experience with data comparison and automation tools

preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology.

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and testing integration.

Experience in BI testing (Power BI, Tableau).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
