The European Content, Search & UX Director is a key part of the transformational journey to data driven brand building with the aim to transform the way we connect with the pet parents and build relationships with them at the heart of everything we do.

**What are we looking for?**



+ Proven experience in digital comms/content, ecommerce & data driven marketing. Content Leadership experience strongly preferred.

+ Demonstrable experience in complex project leadership and/or change management .

+ Proven experience in people leadership/line management with passion to develop talent and drive Associate engagement.

+ Proven experience managing and owning significant Agency relationships.

+ Proven experience managing senior stakeholders in matrixed environments.

+ Innovative mindset and approach to drive Leading Edge capability building at pace (outside in perspective)

+ Tech savvy and experience with digital models & providers as a key enabler for Marketing & Growth



**What will be your key responsibilities?**



**CONTENT STRATEGY AND OPERATIONS**



+ Oversee the operation of the European Content Studio and Factory with focus on both effectiveness and efficiency measures (eg FIT scores, Cost / Asset reduction, Asset reuse increase) across Content Creation, Translation, Transcreation for all Asset Types.

+ Own the relationship with key agency and platform partners, leading regular QBR’s



**ECONTENT STRATEGY AND OPERATIONS**



+ Develop and lead ECom Content strategy for Europe, in partnership with Global & Regional Teams (CoE, DBU and Brand) & Agency and Martech partners, encompassing Creative, Production, Publishing, Asset Management, Measurement in line with internal and external benchmarks.

+ Develop and optimize core processes and governance model in U2W context, across teams internally and externally – eg but not limited to briefing, approvals, RACI’s, budget & investment choices



**INFLUENCER STRATEGY AND OPERATIONS**



+ Recommend investment choices for Influencer programme based on Market Maturity Mapping and fit to brief / brand in order to maximise PESO opportunities and impact.

+ Drive Best in Class, leading edge Influencer innovations to ensure fit for future capability building (leading both internally at MARS and the Industry) in partnership with JBP & Agency Partners and across the PESO model



**SEARCH STRATEGY AND OPERATIONS**



+ Define where, when and what role Search plays across the Pet Parent Journey (PPJ) and how the tactics and choices differ depending on the stage of Pet Parent Journey and the Brand ICP objective

+ Develop European Search Framework working closely with CoE LT, Data and Analytics Teams & Portfolio Directors to define swim lanes and opportunities for brands, representing Search within the ICP process.



**AGENCY AND BUDGET MGMT**



+ Lead Project Mega Transition across multiple capability pillars – Production, Influencer, Connected Commerce, ensuring that future agency ecosystem is fit for purpose for European needs

+ Define and operationalise Ways of Working across and within each capability pillar, in partnership with GLO CoE and Petcare Teams, Agency Partners and Functional Experts within Europe, clearly defining workflows, ownership, RACI and standard processes and procedures – ensuring training, compliance and engagement across total European Associate population

+ Accountable for the total European Regional Nonworking Advertising budget – tracking, measuring and making investment trade-offs as required
