Background

i) Educational Qualification

Essential :

  • B.E / B. Tech Mechanical Engg from reputed University / Institute
  • Minimum 60 % marks

    Job Role & Responsibilities

    Role:

    2Wh vehicle integration for entire product life cycle

    Responsibilities:

  • 2Wh Chassis system integration (EEE, Frame, Trims, wheel & brakes, suspension, power & transmission)
  • Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality improvement, cost reduction, weight reduction of different chassis system
  • Working out design proposals as input & sharing it with concerned Horizontal design teams for detailing
  • Communication with Horizontal teams for detail design of their respective parts & release of final design to production within project timelines
  • Conducting vehicle level FMEA reviews and apply all such tools during the design phase
  • Communication with T&V, PM teams for vehicle level testing & ensuring test completion without failure prior to tooling release

    Competency Requirements

    Technical/ Functional:

  • Must have basic knowledge of vehicle layout design, rider/pillion ergonomics and homologation requirements
  • Should be proficient in chassis system packaging (EEE, Frame, Trims, wheel & brakes, suspension, power & transmission)
  • Understanding of Mechanics, Machine elements & Strength of Materials
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing process of Sheet Metal, Casting, Forging & Plastic Parts
  • Application of GD&T, DFMEA, DFM, stack up analysis
  • CAD modelling
  • Knowledge of PLM software for engineering change release
  • Behavioral

  • Effective team player and ability to lead small teams
  • Proactive and Good interpersonal skills
  • Specific expertise required for functional area :

  • Unigraphics : Drafting, Modeling and Assembly modules
  • Hands on experience of teamcenter Engg or equivalent PLM system
  • Understanding of GD&T & stack up analysis
  • Exposure to design standards & 2Wh homologation requirements (Current, Future)
  • Good communication skill
