Excavator Operator

Based in Deniliquin, NSW | Hourly Rate + (Vehicle optional for the right applicant)

Full-time | Monday–Friday | No FIFO | Australian Residents only

The Opportunity

Murray Constructions is looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Deniliquin.

You’ll be part of a small team delivering quality work to construct new bridges and regional infrastructure projects, throughout the Riverina.

This is a full-time, permanent role with secure local work - you’ll be home every night and working Monday to Friday, with optional weekend overtime if you want extra hours. GPS experience is an advantage, but not essential.

What matters most is solid excavator skills, reliability, and pride in doing the job right.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently on civil construction projects
• Understand plans and set out levels to required tolerances with support from site manager/s
• Carry out daily pre-starts and basic machine maintenance
• Work closely with site supervisors to keep projects on track
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and teamwork
• Support the crew with other civil tasks as required

What We’re Looking For

• We’re after a skilled operator with a practical mindset - someone who takes care of their gear and takes pride in their work.
• Proven excavator operating experience in civil construction
• GPS experience a bonus (training available if not experienced)
• White Card and current driver’s licence (MR/HR preferred)
• Strong focus on safety and site communication
• Reliable, respectful, and ready to be part of a solid crew
