05th January, 2026 JOB BRIEF Our client, a leading venture capital firm investing in visionary founders shaping the future of commerce, is seeking a high-performing Executive Assistant to Managing Partner. Based in San Jose , this onsite role offers a front-row seat to the inner workings of a thriving investment firm. This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, keeps sensitive information under lock and key, and takes pride in staying five steps ahead. You'll partner closely with a high-caliber Managing Partner, mastering the details of their calendar, communications, and strategic initiatives while helping to streamline decision-making and ensure high leverage across every interaction. The position offers a competitive base salary of $180,000-$220,000/year plus 20% bonus and comprehensive benefits. THE JOB: As Executive Assistant to Managing Partner, you will: Calendar & Meeting Management: Own the Managing Partner's ever-changing calendar and ensure alignment with strategic priorities. Anticipate conflicts and handle last-minute pivots with ease. Communication Gatekeeping: Manage inbox and communication flow with grace and professionalism, filtering and prioritizing requests, and drafting thoughtful responses. Travel & Logistics: Coordinate complex, multi-stop travel itineraries with precision-flights, cars, hotels, and agendas. Meeting Prep: Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and notes for internal and external meetings; follow up on action items to ensure execution. Project Coordination: Help the Managing Partner drive forward special projects and key firm initiatives; keep tabs on deliverables and deadlines. Relationship Management: Serve as the Managing Partner's liaison with internal teams, investors, and portfolio company founders ABOUT YOU: 7 years of experience supporting C-level executives in fast-paced environments (VC, PE, startup, or finance experience strongly preferred). Based in the Bay Area and able to work from the San Jose office 5 days per week. Discretion and maturity in handling confidential matters and high-level relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Unflappable, resourceful, and comfortable with rapid change and shifting priorities. Tech-savvy: proficient in Google Workspace, Slack, and productivity tools. Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
