Responsibilities

  • Plan menus according to budget, customer preferences, and nutritional needs while considering seasonal availability of ingredients
  • Manage kitchen staff in all aspects of food preparation and presentation
  • Monitor food inventory levels to minimize waste
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and up to health code standards
  • Develop new recipes on a regular basis to keep the menu fresh and exciting
  • Monitor staff performance and provide training when needed
  • Supervise staff during peak hours to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage budgeting for food items, labor costs, kitchen supplies, etc.
