Responsibilities
- Plan menus according to budget, customer preferences, and nutritional needs while considering seasonal availability of ingredients
- Manage kitchen staff in all aspects of food preparation and presentation
- Monitor food inventory levels to minimize waste
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and up to health code standards
- Develop new recipes on a regular basis to keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Monitor staff performance and provide training when needed
- Supervise staff during peak hours to ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage budgeting for food items, labor costs, kitchen supplies, etc.
