The position of Chef de Partie is pivotal to the success of any culinary establishment. As a senior kitchen staff member, they oversee their designated section and team to maintain high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To facilitate communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff regarding special menu items and stock levels.
  • Ensure that opening and closing duties are performed in accordance with established norms and procedures.
  • Verify receipt of products from suppliers and record waste items for inventory purposes.
  • Supervise the performance of station employees, ensuring consistency in serving portions, cooking methods, and adherence to kitchen rules.
  • Enforce safety protocols for kitchen equipment and maintain facilities and installations.
