Fretlog, a subsidiary of Arkas Logistics, is looking to fill an Executive-Operations vacancy in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting operational execution and customer service activities within the exports division of our freight forwarding services, while also possessing knowledge of import operations.
This position involves assisting in managing customer service operations, responding to customer inquiries, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery, and supporting the implementation of competitive pricing strategies for export services.
Main Responsibilities:
Executive – Operations (Customer Service Unit | Major Exports & Minor Imports)
- Serve as the primary customer contact for Sea & Air Export shipments, ensuring timely communication and service coordination.
- Coordinate export shipments end-to-end, liaising with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, co-loaders, CHAs, and transporters.
- Place and monitor export bookings and ensure timely execution of shipments
- Provide accurate and proactive shipment status updates (ETD/ETA) to customers and the internal sales team.
- Address customer queries and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve service issues.
- Update Fretrack with correct shipment details and maintain the Daily Shipment Report (DSR).
- Support timely customer invoicing and assist with basic Import customer service activities such as arrival updates, manifest filing, job opening, updates, and delivery follow-ups.
Qualifications:
- University degree or suitable equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in the same field
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
