Role Overview

We are seeking an Expert Business Development Manager (Part-Time) with 5–7 years of experience in IT services or software sales to act as a strategic mentor, sales architect, and growth advisor .

This role focuses on strategy, team building, and performance enablement , not daily sales execution. You will define direction, create structured sales guidelines, and mentor Business Development Specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and refine the business development strategy aligned with company revenue targets
  • Create sales playbooks, SOPs, outreach frameworks, and qualification guidelines
  • Set and review monthly and quarterly targets for the Business Development team
  • Lead and support the hiring of junior and mid-level Business Development Specialists , including:
  • Defining role requirements
  • Participating in interviews
  • Advising on onboarding and ramp-up plans
  • Mentor Business Development Specialists on:
  • Lead qualification and discovery calls
  • Proposal structuring and pricing strategy
  • Negotiation and deal-closing best practices
  • Review CRM pipelines, conversion metrics, and sales performance reports
  • Identify gaps in the sales process and recommend improvements
  • Advise founders on market positioning, service offerings, and go-to-market strategy
  • Support strategy for high-value or complex deals when required
Required Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management
  • Strong background in IT services / software consulting sales
  • Proven experience mentoring and building sales teams
  • Hands-on experience with hiring, onboarding, and coaching BDMs or BDS roles
  • Deep understanding of lead generation channels, sales funnels, and conversion metrics
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales analytics
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setup
