Job Description
The Expert, Human Resources Compliance is responsible for ensuring Human Resources (HR) standards and policies are upheld in compliance with CN and within the Canadian regulatory framework. The role supports the fulfillment of the Company’s obligations with respect to human rights, equity, privacy and employment standards, as well as associated reporting processes and provides advice and direction on the handling of various types of Canadian based complaints and disputes.
The incumbent will advise HR and LR colleagues on reasonable efforts to resolve workplace conflicts, and will sometimes lead those efforts directly. The incumbent will assign investigation or conciliation mandates to neutral third parties, when appropriate, and ensure the mandate is carried out in accordance with the appropriate legislation or regulations.
